The meeting point for marketers, social media managers, and agencies that manage professional Instagram accounts.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Data is compared in relation to the <a href=\"https:\/\/metricool.com\/instagram-research-study-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>previous year&#8217;s Instagram study<\/strong><\/a> to see how this social network has evolved, learn about the strategies and formats that work today, and make better decisions based on real data.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Data collection took place over a 30-day period: the month of June 2023, the same time period analyzed in the 2022 study.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Study_Sample\"><\/span>The Study Sample<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Compared to the previous year, the sample has increased significantly, which allows us to make more clear decisions. When we refer to small accounts, we talk about any group smaller than the next one and vice versa.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That is to say, a small account does not have to be the group of 0-500 followers but it would also be the group from 10K to 50K in relation to the next one which is 50K to 45M.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:32px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2023_Instagram_Trends_Answers_to_the_Big_Questions_About_Instagram\"><\/span>2023 Instagram Trends: Answers to the Big Questions About Instagram<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Are_Reels_still_the_format_with_the_greatest_reach_and_interactions\"><\/span>Are Reels still the format with the greatest reach and interactions?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The format with the highest reach and interactions continues to be Reels, <\/strong>although we can see that <strong>the reach has decreased significantly <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/metricool.com\/instagram-research-study-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>compared to the previous study.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The average reach of Reels is still twice as high as that of feed posts, although this same reach has been reduced by up to 76% compared to the previous year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"886\" src=\"https:\/\/metricool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/03-Average-Reels-reach-1024x886.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-111249\" srcset=\"https:\/\/metricool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/03-Average-Reels-reach-1024x886.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/metricool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/03-Average-Reels-reach-300x259.jpg 300w, https:\/\/metricool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/03-Average-Reels-reach-768x664.jpg 768w, https:\/\/metricool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/03-Average-Reels-reach.jpg 1511w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>This is due to the fact that brands and professionals have increased their creation of Reels, therefore, as the number of Reels is larger, the reach is lower<\/strong>.The previous year, Instagram favored these types of publications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In conclusion, before it was much easier to reach more people using the reel format, but today this reach has decreased even though <strong>Reels are still the format with the highest reach.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Therefore, it is a good idea to continue using the rest of the formats depending on your objectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Reels-<\/strong> These allow you to reach more people who aren&#8217;t yet familiar with your brand. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Carousels<\/strong>&#8211; They help generate more interactions with your community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stories<\/strong>&#8211; Stories are important to maintain engagement with the most loyal followers. We also observed that they have good reach in accounts with fewer followers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Image in Feed- <\/strong>Similar to carousels, these can help to generate interaction with your community.
